This tragic tale of Richard Wagner's affair with German poet Mathilde Wessendonck, and the subsequent demise of his marriage to Mina Wagner, is set to the most haunting of Wagner's Wessendonck Lieder Songs, Im Treibhaus (In the Hothouse). Shot in black and white by award-winning DOP Marcus Elliott, designed by Debra Hanson (Stratford Festival). IN THE HOTHOUSE is an emotive journey through love and betrayal.
